Discussion on Prayer

Sunday June 21, 2:30-4:00 pm

In the Muslim context, there are many interpretations of the purpose of prayer. For example, some view it as a ritual that will allow people to get into heaven, some view it as a source of discipline that reminds them of God several times a day, some equate prayer to meditation, some find it to be a boring ritual that they struggle to focus on. The type of prayer one chooses to practice or not practice impacts one’s life in a more dramatic way than we often realize. Usually the impact is directly related to the intention of the prayer. We will explore these thoughts further in our discussion.
